In Metro Vancouver, the bride’s own makeup is the cheap part: peak-season minimums of $550 to $1,360 decide the real bill.

I read the rate cards nine Metro Vancouver makeup artists publish on their own websites in October 2026. Here’s the honest range, before you start collecting quotes.

What moves the price

  • Who does the work. A solo artist, a senior artist or a junior on a big team can be hundreds of dollars apart.
  • Hair. Adding bridal hair roughly doubles the bride’s line.
  • A trial. Some packages include it, most don’t.
  • Lashes and extras. Strip, cluster or individual lashes, touch-up kits, staying for photos.
  • The date. Peak Saturdays carry minimums that a Tuesday in March doesn’t.

The costs to ask about first

  • Travel. Published fees run from about $275 to Squamish to $500 for Whistler or Harrison and around $600 for Vancouver Island or the Sunshine Coast.
  • Early starts. $50 to $125 before 6 or 7 a.m. is common.
  • Minimum spend on peak dates, which matters more than any per-person price.
  • Touch-up time after the ceremony, usually billed by the hour.

Price questions

The ones brides actually ask.

What is a normal price for bridal makeup in Vancouver?

For the bride’s own wedding-day makeup, $230 to $490 is the normal range in 2026, with luxury tiers up to $750. Add hair and it’s $400 to $650.

Do brides pay for their bridesmaids’ makeup?

Both happen. Some brides cover it as a thank-you, some bridesmaids pay their own. Decide early and tell your party before the booking, so nobody is surprised by a $135 to $160 line on the day.

Is a bridal trial worth it?

I think so. It’s where we design, test and note your look two to three months ahead, so the wedding morning is calm. In Vancouver a trial costs $150 to $450.

Why do some artists have a minimum spend?

A Saturday in July can only be booked once. Minimums of $550 to $1,360 protect that day for bigger parties, so always ask what the minimum is before comparing per-person prices.
